Battery fully charged at 7.45am by 12.06pm 60% new iphone 4s two days ago. Is this normal?

I got my new iphone 4s two days ago and I took my phone off charge this morning at 7.45 and already at 12 its down to 60%. I have turned off location settings, reduced the brightness, turned of push and notifications. And as I whatapp I can literally watch the battery go down. Should I take it to have it looked at, or is that normal apple battery standard?

Thanks v much

Hi

Normally battery life of apple product especially iphone drains out quickly if you use or run any application, for example youtube, safari, or any other apps including watsapp.

from my personal experience, i recently bought the new ipad so i spoke to of the genius at app;e and i was informeed that normally the majority of the customer they make a common mistake about charging theor gadget. they think its normal to charge a min of 8hrs before using the device which is wrong......

i have the same prob with my iohone as i over charged it and hence the battery is rubbish. normally one should first use the initial battery left in the device, n then when its drains out, plug it in for charge and wait until it reaches 100%

beside even after 100% battery its is normal that the battery will run out fast if you run any apps or any other programs apart from MUSIC.

hope this helps.

Thank you

Hi,

Thanks for your response. I didn't charge my phone when I first got it as it came with 50% battery so I charged it the next day overnight when it ran out. I have made an appointment at the apple store for Friday for them to do some diagnostics on it, as my phone is less than a week old if it is a faulty battery I'm pretty sure they will just hand me a new one.

Thanks!

Katie

it does..it over charges and tampers the battery life...thats what happened with my iphone 4....i literally had all the versions so i am telling from my personal experience and fortunately i was told by the genius as well.

Do not over charge the battery, otherwise it will show that its been charged fully but after an hour it will drop to 70%...

Well, I have had an iPhone 4 for a year now. I have left it on the charger overnight many times and my battery is fine. My husband does the same thing with his iPhone 4 and his battery is fine also. The "genius" you talked to doesn't sound too geniusy.

Read this thread. It has some great information about battery charging.
