garageband how do i find when a file was recorded

Is there a way of finding when i recorded a file into garageband i.e what date and time?

Depends what you mean by "file". Every GB project has a creation date and a "modified" date. If you have recorded real audio tracks inbetween and want to know their exact recording date, you can look into the project package: in the finder, ctrl-click the project, select "Show Package Content", and inspect the Media folder which contains all of your recordings.


CAUTION: look, don't touch - messing with the files can corrupt your project and make it unusable.
