10.6.3 update won't download

I also tried downloading 10.6.3 directly from the apple web site and it does not download when I click Save.

Do you get an error message when you try to do the save? If so, what does it say? (Precise text, please.)

Same here. It just let's you click Update iTunes and then nothing....

My download attempt from the iTunes website failed under Firefox, but was successful under IE. Don't know if installing the full version will cause me to lose my content

My prompt for updating comes when opening iTunes and the Download Update dialogue box appears. No errors or anything. It just let's you click it and then nothing.

I had the same experience -- iTunes > Help > Check for Updates > A new version of iTunes (10.6.3) is available. Would you like to download it now? > click "Download itunes". Then a brief flash and nothing. No download.

That's when I tried download from the Apple website, and found that I couldn't download with Firefox either. But IE worked for a download. Just offering another possibility.

Do you think that iTunes has a bug, or the downloader is broken, or maybe it needs to run as Administrator after the upgrade to version 10?

I'm having the exact same problem. My iPod touch has just frozen on the apple start up screen, occasionaly flashes then goes back to the apple. When I try to restore it fails so I think it means I have to update to 10.6.3. However when I tried to update nothing happens!!! this is really annoying now 😐 hope Apple fix it soon!

Yes, same issue here.

iTunes, either on opening, or on manually selecting Check for Updates.., tells me there is an update. Clicking the download button opens the native OS Software Update package, which then says the computer is up to date, so there is nothing to download.

Try updating your iTunes using an iTunesSetup.exe (or iTunes64Setup.exe) downloaded from the Apple website:
