nudging an audio-region in a track right or left: smallest amount?

I searched high and dry and can only drag an audio region-piece from 85 to 85.1 either way in the arrange window.

I tried all nudging from the manual and suggestions in this discussion!

After I highlight the short vocal-clip I want to sync with its backtrack and hold down control plus try to move with

the right or left arrows my screen lights up and nothing moves. In my opinion this should be so simple.

What am I missing? Thank you for your time and patience.

Which Logic version are you using?

Do you remember to press down Shift and and Control *after* you have grabbed the region?

What happens when you eg. use the key command called Nudge Region/Event Position Left by Tick... has the region's position changed if you watch that region in the Event Editor?

Are you sure these key commands actually are assigned to any keys?

Are you sure that other key commands, by mistake, aren't assigned to the same key?

Do you zoom close enough in, in order to see if the region is moving?

If you haven't reassigned any key commands, please try this:

Press ⌃⌥T (Set Nudge Value to Tick )

Press ⌥E (to Open "Event Float", if it isn't open already)

Watch the Event Float, and press ⌥→ (•Nudge Region/Event Position Right by Nudge Value)

Did the region change it's position?

I am using the latest Logic Pro version on a Mac Pro in Snow Leopard 10.6.8.

(Sorry I got busy with other stuff.)

Do you remember to press down Shift and and Control *after* you have grabbed the region? Yes

I am going to check each of your items below carefully and report back:

Are you sure these key commands actually are assigned to any keys?

Do you zoom close enough in, in order to see if the region is moving?

Press ⌃⌥T (Set Nudge Value to Tick )

Press ⌥E (to Open "Event Float", if it isn't open already)

Watch the Event Float, and press ⌥→ (•Nudge Region/Event Position Right by Nudge Value)

(Please be patient I might take a bit.)

Quick question before: What is this ⌥ ? None of my keys are marked ⌥

Is that the control key?
