I have an old Sony CCDTRV608, which is a tape based camcorder. I am trying to figure out the best way to import these tapes to iMovie. Can anyone help as to what i need? thank you

Q: transferring from old taped based handycam to MacBook
Connect using Firewire (Sony calls it I.LINK) and power up the camera.
