Q: how to select apple menu without mouse

My mouse running out of battery, now i want to select apple menu for shutdown, restart or open any programm with key board, how can I do that

iMac, Mac OS X (10.7.2)

A:

Press CNTL FN F2 and the  will highlight, down arrow to expand and down arrow to select your function and enter.

Edit: If you have the special keys and function keys reversed in System Preferences > Keyboard then it's just CNTL F2
