Q: Merging "on my mac" with "iCloud" events, on my iCal

After being frustrated for a while with iCloud for not putting iCal events on my iCloud and trying to figure out why, I finally noticed there were 2 different types of Calendars, "ON MY MAC" and "ICLOUD." How do I merge those 2 to make them one in the same, so it updates to my iCloud?
