I have the YouVersion bible app on my ipod touch and iPad, I'm able to download offline versions that they make available. Well for a limited time they made NIV and NLT available to download for an offline version for a limited time. I know I have backed up my ipod touch to icloud and I still can't get it to synce the version I have on my ipod touch to my ipad

There is a feature in the bible app that says to "sync with iCloud"
You cannot use an iPod backup to restore to an iPad, nor can you use an iPad backup to restore to an iPod.
Some apps support data syncing through iCloud, but this feature needs building into the app by the developer. If your app doesn't support this, then I believe there is no way to transfer the data between your two devices.
Then it would appear you should be able to sync between the two versions of the app that you have on your mobile devices. However, I don't have the app myself, and therefore cannot tell you exactly what to do.
Thanks for the help anyways. but yes you can use a ipod touch back up to an ipad. Took awhile to figure out, but I did it, and it does transfer all settings that would be on the ipod touch to the ipad
