permanent crashes with Lion

Need help. My iMAC running latest Lion OS is crashing or freezes permanently. Several reboots are necessary a day. I Never had problem with Snow Leopard. Checked hardware with diagnostic disc, all OK, so I wanted to re-install Lion from scratch while keeping my data. How shall I proceed ? Back-up available via time machine. Thanks for the help.

Launch the Console application in any of the following ways:

Enter the first few letters of its name into a Spotlight search. Select it in the results (it should be at the top.)

In the Finder, select Go Utilities from the menu bar, or press the key combination shift-command-U. The application is in the folder that opens.

If you’re running Mac OS X 10.7 or later, open LaunchPad. Click Utilities, then Console in the page that opens.

In the Console window, look under DIAGNOSTIC AND USAGE INFORMATION for crash or panic reports. Select the most recent report from each subcategory and post the contents — the text, please, not a screenshot. In the interest of privacy, I suggest that, before posting, you edit out the “Anonymous UUID,” a long string of letters, numbers, and dashes in the header of the report, if it’s present (it may not be.)

Please don’t post shutdownStall or hang logs — they're very long and not helpful.

Make a "Genius" appointment at an Apple Store to have the machine tested. Unfortunately, you may have to leave it there for several days.

Print the first page of the panic report and bring it with you.

Back up all data on the internal drive(s) before you hand over your computer to anyone. If privacy is a concern, erase the data partition(s) with the option to write zeros (do this only if you have at least two complete, independent backups, and you know how to restore to bare metal from any of them.) Don’t erase the Lion recovery partition, if present.

from another thread I understood that these crashes may be related to an issue within OSX Lion (and later) and the NVIDIA GeForce GT 130 graphic card.

https://discussions.apple.com/thread/3938355?tstart=0

Indeed a recent service from a premium Apple dealer confirmed the unit to be all OK. OSX re-installed but problem remains. Crashes are happening after screen freezes when stressing the graphic card and CPU, making the unit almost unusable.

Here below a picture of the frozen screen when working with FCPX. Only cure is a power reset.
