When I play podcasts through the Music app, I can set x2 speed and it stays selected for all podcasts that I play. Here, it seems that I have to flip up the settings page and set x2 for each podcast I play. Why won't this setting persist across plays?

My bad. I didn't realize it was called the "Now Playing" screen. OK - so - to clarify, every time I select a podcast to play, then go to the "now playing" screen, i have to flick up the "cover over the tape deck" to expose a screen that shows the general settings for the "currently playing" podcast and manually flick the level from normal mode to "bunny" mode. EVERY FRICKING TIME! Is that clear enough?
What do you mean by the settings page? The sped selector is on the Now Playing screen.
