When setting up my MacBook Pro I somehow made the right shift key function as a hotkey for the show desktop function. Now I can't figure out how to return it to being a shift key. Can anyone help?

Under Keyboard Shortcuts/Mission Control there is a tickbox for Show Desktop, with the key combination ^down arrow as the default. Changing this, or unticking the box makes no difference. I tried making ^down for the Show Desktop shortcut into right shift, so I could uncheck it. After highlighting the ^down key combination, when I hit the right shift key, OS hides the desktop without changing the ^down key combination. Restore Defaults makes no difference.
I cant change it + it is already set to f11 and even if i un tick it the right shift still does the same thing

Hello, I was happy to find that post, but couldnt solve my problem. Using 10.9.2 on macBook.
I try to get the shortcut deleted from the right shiftkey. It always goes to desktop even it is set to F11 in System/MissionControl.
Help would be great.
