My computer continues to pop up that I don't have the latest version of iTunes on my brand new I pad. It won't let me sync.

My computer will not sync with my iPad. It is telling me I don't have the latest version of iTunes on my brand new iPad. Downloaded latest on both but it still will not sync. Help please.

iPad 2, Windows 2000
