foot controller changing patch. make it stop!

I am using the behringer fcb1010 foot controller to control Loopback in Mainstage. I have mapped individual foot pedals to trigger controlls in Loopback. It works flawlessly if there is only one patch in my concert. However, I need to have multiple patches with different tempos. each patch represents a song which a unique tempo. When i add a patch it starts acting crazy. when i hit the foot switch to trigger "record" it will jump back to the first patch in mainstage. when i hit the foot switch to trigger "play/stop" it will jump back to the second patch. i mapped everything in the concert level. this does not happen if i click these Loopback controlls with the mouse. only if I use the foot controller.

could it be sending a midi signal to jump to a particular patch? i did not set that up. don't even know how to.

what am I missing?

ok, so i think my foot controller is sending a signal to change patches. i realized that "record" and "play/stop" were mapped to foot switches 1 and 2, and that was the patch it was making it jump to. so i added 5 patches, and each foot switch, 1-5, makes it jump to the corresponding patch. anyone know how to turn this off?

alright. figured it out. i had Program Change (PC) assigned to each of the foot switches as well as a CC value. didn't know what this was when i was setting it up, but mainstage sees PC value as which patch to jump to. i unassigned PC to each of the pedals, and now it is working flawlessly! hope this helps someone.
