Why can't I enter a username and password for certain podcasts in the podcasts app

I subscribe to coast to coast am. I pay for it on their website, but in iTunes when I would download it I'd be prompted for a username and password. Then I could download my shows. But with this new app it says I can't download the shows and to contact customer support. Is there a way around this? I'd like it to work like iTunes.
