Jun 27, 2012 5:58 PM in response to spicerackby Bob Timmons,Currently I have the airports in bridge mode with the base station and the 3 airports all creating their own network. This means that I have to choose a network as I move around the home.
how do I setup with one network and just have the wireless signal broadcast from each device.
Very simply.......Insure that each AirPort creates a wireless network with the exact same wireless network name, exact same wireless security setting, and exact same wireless password.
Leave the Radio Mode and Wireless Channel settings set to Automatic.
Then re-check to make sure that each AirPort is in Bridge Mode.
Once configured, power off the entire network....all devices...in any order you want
Wait a minute
Start the modem first, let it run a minute
Start the main router the same way
Start each AirPort one at a time the same way
Start each other device the same way until everything is powered back up on the network.
Now, computers will be able to "roam" from one wireless access point to another and stay on the same network. Coincidentally, this type of configuration is known as a "roaming" network.
