Oct 21, 2013 4:19 PM in response to bench28by Jamratcliffe,I seem to be experiancing the same problem. My Mackbook Pro is brand new (as in two days old) and it tells me the same thing. The hardware is conected in the "Face Time Cam-HD built in" under the report. All applications involving the camera say the same "no camera detected" message. This being a new computer, I have barely moved it across the house and hope it is not already broken. Could it be a factory defect?

Unfortunately that does sound like it is more likely to be a faulty camera rather than anything else.
Take advantage of the Warranty and get it changed.
