Airplay works fine from iTunes but my iPhone4 using iOS 5.1.1 doesn't see the airport extreme to airplay music to it. This used to work but now it's not. All updates have been applied to my apps in iPhone, including any updates available for airport utility (which also doesn't see the airport extreme).

Check the iPhone is connecting to the right wifi network being broadcasted by the AirPort Express. Possibly turn celullar data off so you can see the wifi symbol appear at the top of the iPhone, to confirm it is joining the network.
If that doesn't work, power down both the iPhone, and the router... see what happens when they are running again.
Rebooting the router and restarting my iPhone solved the issue. Thanks for your help!
