how do i change my backup email

Start here, change your country if necessary and go to manage your account

This doesn't actually help.

As Winston Churchill wrote, you have to change your primary email (Apple ID) "here" and are alos able to choose a secondary email address as backup.

Before change:

Primary email address (Apple ID) = current@xyz.com

After change:

Primary email address (Apple ID) = new@xyz.com

Secondary email address (backup) = current@xyz.com

Note: @mac.com and @me.com Apple IDs cannot be renamed.

Yes, but what if my primary email address doesn't exist anymore? And also, what it needs to be changed to is already my secondary email.

I have the same problem, I have only two emails and the one i want as my primary is my back up email. the one i want as my backup is the primary please help us fix this problem, without the need of making more emails!

I ha the same problem and ust figured it out!

Go to your Apple account on their website. Then sign in. On the left there will be a tab called "Password and Security" click on it, enter your answers to your security questions. Now you can change your password, security questions and YOUR BACKUP EMAIL!!!! YAY 🙂

If you are working with the same 2 email adresses (as i am) you will have to create a third. Change your main adress to that third one then go and change your bakup then change your main back to the one you want

What if you need to change the email in which your answers need to be sent too?
