im a complete techno phone and having problems with blue tooth.... i have never before been able to use this facility on other phones for some reason and i thought iphone would be the bees knees and i would be fine... no..... i turn it on and i cannot connect to anyone.. it did it briefly once and I wondered if anyone could please help?

Nothing wrong with your phone, this is NOT a feature of the iPhone. File transfer by bluetooth is not supported. There are some peer-to-peer game playing & photo sharing apps in the app store(by bluetooth), but only iPhone to iPhone. You can't connect, by bluetooth, with any other phone.
