lost artist names in itunes??

You just came into the room one day and suddenly all the artist names, and nothing else, had disappeared from your 2,000 iTunes tracks?? You had shut down the computer the night before and started up the next morning they had gone?

I suspect you were doing some editing but can't really suggest much going by the very little information you have given us.

Oh, or is this on your iPad they are lost? Again, no details.

Does Missing Artist or Album not with others by same artist cover it?
