Is it better to reset the iphone or erase all content? I have an ongoing issue that the folks at the Apple store in Cherry Hill NJ cannot resolve. They tell me to "reset" the phone. But when I do the problem eventually returns. What happens when I erase all content? Thanks.

A Reset will not erase any data or settings, kind of like rebooting your computer.
Erase all Content and Settings will do just that, leaaving your iPhone factory fresh.
What's the problem with your iPhone.
When I need to update Apps, I get a message: "Cannot connect to iTunes Store" I can, however, install a new App with no problem. Then there is the issue of it not being able to find our WiFi, although my iPad has no problem with that. Once the iPhone syncs with the cloud or my pc, the problems start again. Last time I thought I set it so the iPhone would NOT sync, but somehow it managed to do so and I'm back to square one.
Check to make sure you're signed into the same iTunes account on all devices.
How? I'm sure I am using only one account. Same ID and same password . . .
iPhone: Settings > Store > Apple ID
Computer: look in iTunes, can't remember the exact details but it's shown on screen, maybe under Store or Apps.

I think I'll just erase all settings. If that doesn't work, I'll get a BFH.

Are you sure ALL your apps were purchased under that same account?
Note that that will wipe your iPhone clean, i.e. factory fresh.
Also, note that the BFH is a one-way flight. 😉
Possible there was another account for a bit. I tried renaming mine - found out it can't be renamed. So, maybe I did get an App under the other name . . .
No, definitely won't be going the BFH route. Just a passing fancy...
