iWeb Publishing Issues

I save my web page, but when I open it with a web browser, the page is completely distorted. I tried it on Safari and Firefox. I'm working on a Mac Mini, which might present some problems, but please tell me what to do and what's going wrong. I'm desperate.

I wish it were so you could give me some advice. I'm going to take it home and try it on my home computer (iMac) and see if it's just the Mac Mini being fickle. It's also an outdated version of iWeb, but I dont think that's the issue. When I "quick look" index.html, it pulls up the home page properly, but my links dont work, whereas, when I open it in a browser, all of the links work, but they're scattered everywhere and stretched out.

I took the index.html file as well as the folder that came with it, but iWeb on my home computer now refuses to open it. I'm sorry if I'm completely changing my question, but I just need to impress my boss by impressing his boss lol

If they hired you guys to make their site, you would have already had it done and published with more flair than I.

They also have no idea how to publish a site or how to pay for a personal domain, which I thought they had already taken care of. I'll stop rambling now.

tl/dr: Help me open index.html in iWeb on a different computer, and then I'll try "Publish Entire Site"

You can't open the index.html file (or any other HTML file) in iWeb. iWeb stores the data in a Domain.sites2 file and you need this to open the site, make changes and publish...

Once you have the site opened in iWeb you have two options for publishing ....

Check out this page for what to look for in hosting. Most companies will give you at least one free Domain name registration...

iWeb and MobileMe made it pretty easy to publish your site. You are going to need to do a few more steps to publish your site now with a 3rd party web hosting company. Good thing about using a 3rd party company is that they will have a tech support group to hold your hand while you transfer your site over. Any of the web hosting companies mentioned on here will be able to do that for you. I moved mine to Little Oak hosting. They have both phone and IM chat support, and were very helpful.
