I have locked my lost iphone remotely. Now it is found but I don't yet have it in my paws. How do I unlock it so I can use it when I get it back?
enter the code you use for the lock
You will need possession of the iPhone to unlock it. It's probably safer that way anyway. Are you worried about forgetting the code?
no, I remember the code. I just didn't know if I would have to do it remotely from my computer because I wouldn't be able to open it in itself.
So you can open it and get rid of the unlock without recourse to iCloud/remote
Right. When you turn on the iPhone it will just ask you to enter the code.
when I enter it, then what happens? Plus, what do I do to not have to keep entering it every time I use my phone?
THank you so much,
After you enter it in, your home screen will appear and you use the iPhone like normal. You can go to Settings > General > Passcode Lock to either change or disable it.
thanks so much, will do.
I've lost my iPhone. How did you remotely lock it? And then how in the world did you get it back? Thanks.
Go to the iCloud.com web site, logon with your apple id, then go into Find My iPhone.
I've done that but since the battery is run down, the message is : "device offline"
Then the lock will take effect when or IF the device comes back online.
