When I try to edit with a plugin or photoshop, I get the message ..."Aperture does not support the image format." What is wrong?
Happens with all my plugins.
Thanks for the help.

Please report your version of Aperture, and version of OSX?
What plugins?
Ernie
3.3 and 10.7.3.
All the plug in that I have: Nik EFEX, Portraiture Plug In, Silver Efex 2, Nik Sharperner...
Also happens when I try to edit with photoshops (when opening out of Aperture; Photoshop is fine on it's own)
Thanks,
Michael
Aperture 3.3 can work with 10.7.4? Check what you have installed again!
Yes, tha's right: Aperture 3.3, System 10.7.4, Digital Camera Raw 3.13.0
What is the source of the images you are trying to edit via plugins?
Ernie
I figured out that it happens with referenced raw files. JPG files from the external drive work fine and raw files that are in Aperture also work.
I appreciate your help.
Thanks,
Mike
Hi Mike -- does the upgrade to 3.3.1 cure this?
Are these Referenced RAW masters on external drive? If so, was it formatted for Mac OS, Journalled Extended, and mounted directly to the Mac. Other drives can be problematic.
Ernie
yes, yes and yes.
Does the command Show in Finder work properly with these images? Also the command to Locate Referenced Masters?
Ernie
I'll give it a try. Thanks.
yes and yes.
All these observation would seem to rule out a connectivity problem. You may need to talk to one or more of the developers of these plugins with regard to 3.3, etc.
In Aperture Preferences/Export, what are your selections for External Editor File Format, and for External Editor Color Space?
Ernie
Tiff 16 bit and ADobe RGB 1998
Seems like that since it's plug ins from various companies and the same problem with photoshop, it's an Aperture problem, not the plug in. Agree?
Forgot about Photoshop -- would have to agree. Try changing to 16 bit PSD and no profile, test, and then change back to these existing settings.
