How do I download pictures from my computer to my Ipad?

Connect the iPad to your computer and select the iPad on the left-hand side of your computer's iTunes, and on the right-hand side there should be a series of tabs, one of which should be Photos - if you select that tab you can then select which photo folders to sync to the iPad. There is a bit more info on this page.

You will need to sync all the photos that you want on the iPad together in one go as only the most recent photo sync remains on the iPad - synced photos can't be deleted directly on the iPad, instead they are deleted by not including them in the next photo sync.

Transferred from your computer via the iTunes sync/transfer process - selected under the Photos tab for your iPad sync preferences with iTunes.

Sync with iTunes.

Connect the iPad to the PC and launch iTunes.

Click on the iPad name on the left side under devices.

Click on the Photos Tab on the right.

Select the main album on your PC from which you what to sync photos (Sync Photos from)

Click on the sub folders within that main folder that you want to sync.

Click on Apply in the lower right corner of iTunes

Demo, I originally got info from you today regarding my Ipad touch screen which was not working. You replied with some information about resetting which I did, but none of it worked, so I took it to the Apple Store today and they gave me a new Ipad. They said there was a defect in some of the Ipads that couldn't be fixed so they are just replacing them. However, when I got home I found that my photos won't sync to the new Ipad. I'm gonna try your fix mentioned above and will let you know how it works.

Another way. You can use a USB flash drive & the camera connection kit.

Plug the USB flash drive into your computer & create a new folder titled DCIM. Then put your movie/photo files into the folder. The files must have a filename with exactly 8 characters long (no spaces) plus the file extension (i.e., my-movie.mov; DSCN0164.jpg).

Now plug the flash drive into the iPad using the camera connection kit. Open the Photos app, the movie/photo files should appear & you can import. (You can not export using the camera connection kit.)
