I had a iphone 4 for about 9 month and it started to drain the batterie in about 50% in 15min and it was overheating and wouldnt take the charge.. it showed that it was charging, but the %ig wasnt going up...
i went to apple and i got a replacement phone last week
now i have the exact same problem, its not taking any charge, it shows that it is charging, but its not..
i restarted and restored the phone.... what causes the problem?
iPhone 4, iOS 5.1.1
for example:
battery at 13%
i plug it in(USB or Wallcharger)
the iphone shows that it is charging
i unplug it after 20min or even after 2 hours
the phone will be at 12%charge
so its not charging
i just want to know what causes that problem and what can i do to fix it?
when it happened the first time with the new phone (1 week ago)
i restored it without using a backup(set up as a new phone)
the battery was still not charging
now i cant even turn it on it the battery is dead...
Get the phone, cable, and charger replaced. Maybe you were extremely unlucky and your first replacement phone had the same defect as the original.
However, when people repetitively get the same problem on replaced equipment, it means the problem is at your end and there is something you're doing that you're not telling us....

its not jailbroken, i dont drop it, i dont hold it in water.... lol
i was thinking about that too, but i have no idea what, except for my car stereo....
i hook it up via usb to listen to my musik and charge it.... can it be the problem?
but nobody else have this problem with the same car stereo(DCH-7300BT)

The problem says it, particularly when it recurred in a replacement phone. Battery eating instability is a classic sign of jb.
my phone isnt/wasnt jailbroken....
and its not takeing any charge, it shows it is charging, but its not...
Why do you say it's not charging? What does the phone show?
Restore the phone in iTunes, first using a backup, and if the problem persists, as a new phone, without using a backukp.
Maybe the charging circuit in your car stereo is defective and damaging the phone.
