Q: Apple Mobile Device USB Driver Missing

For me I had to use the following directory (PC):

C:\Program Files\Common Files\Apple\Mobile Device Support\Drivers

When Apple updates iTunes they must have changed the directiory, but that would make sense because @Chengtai2 posted this in June 2015!

It worked!

I currently run Windows 10 if you want to know.

This actually works I've just done it,

go to here and get the drivers you need download them to your pc and unzip them in a folder that you can find again i.e. on your desktop

then control panel / devices and printers - you'll see "unspecified" iphone/ipod/ipad at the bottom of the page

right click this device - properties - then the hardware tab - and choose the properties button bottom right

this opens another box - choose change settings - this opens another box - go to the driver tab

choose update driver box - then browse my computer

now navigate to the folder where you unzipped the drivers - click next

thats them now installed and your devise should now be in itunes

Hello.  I just installed Windows 10 Pro today.  Yesterday I could sync my iPhone with Outlook using iTunes, but not today.  I've tried following what the helpful people on this forum have written, but here is where I am stuck.  I've already uninstalled and reinstalled iTunes twice.  The Update Driver box is grayed out. Thanks.

Replying to:  chipfrommaryland  who sees the 6/21/2006 device driver, but Windows claims this is "up to date."   I see the same problem, and Windows file explorer recognizes my iPod (old iPod), but iTunes does not seem to recognize it.  I fail to see how a 10 year old driver is "up to date" either.
