Hey, On June 25 i have sucessfully uploaded my book made in iBooks Author.

The next day i got a ticket saying that in portrait mode a thin grey line overlaps the text. I didn't see the line because my book is made in landscape mode and I didn't pay attention to the portrait mode. I cannot move or delete the line so i've pasted a white picture above the gray line. As result i don't see the line anymore in preview on my ipad and not on my computer. I redelivered my book with iTunes producer. After one day I got the same ticket and I don't know why.

Can anyone say how to move or delete the grey line and does anyone have the same problem?

    A screenshot or two would help. It's difficult otherwise to know what the problem might be.

    I saw your comment in once my book is uploaded, how long before it appears iTunes.

    That comment solved my question. Its about the comment on page 26. There you said That you must unlock the line.

    Hello,

    On June 9 i've redelivered my book and the ticket of the thin grey line was deleted ;)

    But in manage your books I see my book is not onstore because there is an book asset issue;(

    I've contacted apple on June 12 I've got an automatic mail saying that apple is reviewing my request and that apple will answer in two bussiness days. Today (June 17) I still havent recieved a responce.

    And I don't know what to do.

    Surely there must have been more information than just that "there is an book asset issue"?

    The exact sentence is the following:

    Book Asset Issue. There is an issue with the book asset. Contact us after you have verified and redelivered the file.

    What a supremely helpful error message. I'm sure you'll have no problem whatsoever working out what's wrong with your book

     

    The only advice I can offer is to do what they suggest and re-upload the book.

    Two weeks ago i've asked what's wrong with the book and they answered the following:

    Hello,

     

    Thank you for contacting iBookstore Publisher Support.

     

    It has been determined that the original issues in ticket 1429900 were never corrected. Your title 'Het Moppenboek' can no longer be reviewed at this time.

     

    If you are having difficulty correcting the issue, we would highly suggest using an Apple-approved aggregator.  A list of Apple-approved aggregators is available to you on the home page of iTunes Connect.

     

    For your reference, the outstanding formatting issues with this title are:

     

    1) In portrait mode, thin, grey line overlaps with text, for example, on page 4.
    2) Blank spaces appear between paragraphs, for example, the start of page 22 is blank but contains a thin, grey, vertical line.

     

    We appreciate your continued support of the iBookstore.

    I am pretty sure that I've solved the problem because I can't see the line anymore.

    So on June 9 I redelivered the book but the book asset wasn't deleted.

    On June 12 I asked them the following:

    Book Title: Het Moppenboek          
    Screenshot of content status error:           
    Apple ID: ************

    Describe the issue you are having with your content's status: Hello,
    In manage your books I see that my book is not on store. When I click on it, the following sentence appears at the bottom of my screen :

    Book Asset Issue. There is an issue with the book asset. Contact us after you have verified and redelivered the file.

    I have verified and redelivered the file and now I've contacted you.

    Can you please take a look at it?

    Apple's communications are wonderful, aren't they? I'm afraid I can't offer any advice other than to make sure that you have truly resolved the problems Apple flagged and redelivered the book.

    I've seen that other people have this question too( see https://discussions.apple.com/thread/3822583?start=0&tstart=0)

    I hope my book will be available soon.

    I think the only thing I could do is wait a little longer.
