transferring apps to ipod touch

Hello,

I'm trying to transfer some games that my kids had on thier ipod touch to mine. Their ipod was a 2nd generation and mine is I believe a fourth (purchased last year). Most of the games are not transferring. I realize there are compatiblility issue but it doesn't make sense that these games, some of which are very recent wouldn't work on my ipod. Is there a way to fix this?

Are the apps in your iTunes library that you normally sync your iPod with? Do you have them configured to sync to your device? See here for more help and information.

Archived - Syncing and arranging apps from the App Store

If nothing else, you can redownload them at no cost directly from your iPod Touch using the same Apple ID that was originally used to purchase/download each of them.
