Macbook Pro Retina Low Battery life on on account(lots of things running in background and how to uninstall old programs data)

Hi,

I just transfered my data over to my new mac book pro retina. For some reason im only getting 2:30 hours of battery life just browsing the internet. I created a blank account and started browsing the same sites. The battery life shows about 9 hours. So theres a big difference in battery time. I then switch back to my old account and check the background proceses in the active monitor. I noticed alot more things running then in the new account. Many of those items I no longer use or have uninstalled years ago. Is there anyway to reset whats running in the background or fully uninstall cirtain programs? I been looking for uninstallers but some apps dont have it. I normally just drag the applacation file to the trash.

ANY IDEAS?

THANKS

have I got the thing for you LOL. Download AppCleaner. It's been working awesome for me for erasing apps, you just drag A file that has anything to do with the app and it will delete EVERYTHING that has to do with it, cache files, logs, temporary files. Trust me, it's gonna help you out with those things you thought you deleted a long time ago 🙂
