Mac App store will not allow me to sign in so I can't purchase or update app's...it has worked before? I have done all updates for Mac...

What happens when you try to sign in? What are the messages you receive.
Nothing...will not let me sign in, purchase or update apps...it will however let me create a new account?
Well if you're not getting any message or othr error when you try to log in then you sould contact App Store support. See Mac App Store Support
Do you not see the sign in sheet?
Mac App Store: Sign in sheet does not appear, or does not accept typed text
And if you have anti virus software installed, disable that before trying to access the App Store.
If you have Litlte Snich installed, that can prevent access to the App Store.
Keep in mind, you can't update your existing apps from another Apple ID if you create a new account.
Thanks turned off anti-virus...now maybe you can explain why yahoo mail not working in mac mail?? lol
