Recently my laptop got viruses, big ones. and i had connected my phone to my laptop at that time.I want to make sure that none of the viruses has creaped into my phone.So, can you tell me how to scan for viruses.My iphone is 3gs and os is 5.1.1.

Viruses on your laptop cannot creep onto your iPhone. Even if they could - they would have absolutely no effect whatsoever.
There is no virus scanning software for iPhones because there are no viruses that can affect them, due to the app and OS security built-in to the iPhone.
Are you absolutely sure about that? I'm concern that my iPhone may have one, yesterday I fix a Windows 7 laptop that have several Trojans, those Trojans had the wi-fi driver blocked so I use my iPhone as a Hot Spot to connect the laptop to Internet and download an antivirus, That was last night, today, about an hour ago, I was normally using my iPhone when I got a message form settings, telling me to retype my Facebook password, so I went to Settings and retyped, but, here things get real strange, I found that all my iCluoud settings had been turn off, (not by me of course), so my contacts, calendars, notes, etc, have gone! I turn back on settings all my iCloud preferences and everything look normal, but some profile pictures on whatsapp didn't show on the Chat section.
So, I'm concern that may have been affected by a virus, any way, I'm restoring my iPhone from the Backup on my computer just to be safe.
Any thoughts?

Was the other laptop you fixed with you iPhone ever connected to another iPhone... I've noticed when I plug in another apple product to my laptop usually other iPhones it messes with the settings...
