How do I set up a guest network on my airport express?

This is what I did - which I thought was the way to do it, but the new network does not show up:

1) Open Network Preferences

2) Advanced

3) Add WiFi Network

4) OK

While I can see the guest Newtork under Preferred Networks (on my MacPro), it does not show up on my mobile device. Why?

G5 tower, Mac OS X (10.4.11)

A Guest Network......assuming that your "new" AirPort Express is connected to a compatible modem......can only be enabled using AirPort Utility.

Macintosh HD > Applications > Utiltiies > AirPort Utility > Manual Setup

If the Guest Network tab does not appear when you do this, your modem is likely not compatible with the AirPort Express for this purpose. Or, you may not have the "new" version of the AirPort Express, which became available a few weeks ago.
