Jun 29, 2012 12:51 PM in response to scutchby Bob Timmons,Unfortunately, Apple's "extend a wireless network" feature is designed to only work between 2 Apple devices.
If you are trying to "extend" using wireless only, there is almost zero chance that this will work with a Belkin modem/router....or any other manufacturer's product.
The Express can be configured to provide more wireless coverage if you can establish a wired Ethernet connection between it and the Belkin product.

Jun 29, 2012 9:08 PM in response to scutchby Mister Re,I have a Netgear N600 DGND3700v2 dual band wireless modem router.
I created a wireless network with it.
I reset a time capsule and asked it to extend a network. It saw and connected to the Netgear with
ease.
On the wireless network now, I have 1 express to a printer, 1 express to a speaker, 1 apple TV, two imac's
1 extreme, and the time capsule that both imacs back up to.
Time capsule is not connected to anything via ethernet.
I would suggest modern dual band wireless devices using the same format will be able to be extended.
This one was very easy.
