iMessage not working

It was working fine for me (almost) until about 30 minutes ago. Everything is being sent as a text now. I also have problems sometimes where I'll get a text as an imessage, and then a few minutes later (or sometimes a few hours later) i get duplicate texts as SMSs. Anyone have that issue as well?

Yes, having the same issue here as well, along with 5 other of my friends, I have called Apple support but they seem unaware of the issue? Any idea of how this can be resolved?

iMessage has not been working for me or family members for several days now. Anyone know what's up?

I'm having the same problem. My iMessages stopped working on July 2. Now they are sending as regular texts messages. Asked (and showed) someone at the Apple store about this problem. They were completely clueless. Come on Apple fix this and reimburse me for my texts that should have been sent as iMessages. You can't just ignore all the issues with your products and act as though there isn't anything wrong ...when there is!

I haven't had any issues with imessage.

Same problems here. Imessage seems to be spotty at best. And razmee209 all that doesn't apply to the people here. I'm pretty sure we are all in areas with capable 3g connections if not already connected to wifi. Strange how it isnt working. I've only had a 4s for a week and already been through 2 buggy devices. Finally get the 3rd which is perfect and now my imessage wont function. Could it be something on Apple's end? I also sometimes get errors trying to go into the app store. Thats what makes me think its Apple.

add me to the growing list. When I send iMessage between my wife's iPad and my iPhone 4 it is fine, But not between my iPhone and her iPhone 3GS. iMessage turned on for both. When she gets home I am going to try the following soultuon found on another thread:

It appeared to work for some. Sounds silly. Maybe it was just a coincidence. Or maybe not.

change the DNS number in ur phone wifi as 8.8.8.8 try this one.

It worked for me. But then again maybe it was just a conicdence. It's not difficult so give it a whirl.

I think it's just an occassional anomoly brought on by the 3G networks we are on.

Yeah iMessage is definitely not working. My send button is blue though which is weird because it's usually green if it's a normal text message so i don't know but definitely not working right.

It's suppose to be blue when you send an imessage, if your getting that then it's working.

It's blue for one person then the message doesn't go through and i have to send it as a regular text everyone else is green still even people i know have iphones, imessage just isn't working right now. Apple is probably doing something because of the release of mountain lion since imessage is going to be a part of that.

I had iMessage not working on my iPhone and on my sister's one (the send button didn't turn to blue even if both of us had iMessage activated), I solved sending a message from the Messages app in Mountain Lion to my sister's iPhone (via iMessage of course), then she messaged me back and iMessage started working properly on my iPhone, too.
