Q: do i need an internet connection to watch a downloaded rental movie?

If i download a movie for "rental" on a Monday, arrive in Europe on Tuesday, and begin to watch it Tuesday night (in Europe) 1) will I need an internet connection to watch it and 2) will the 24/48 hour period be based on usage?

    As long as you have downloaded the complete movie you don't need an internet connection to watch it.

     

    As I understand the rules you have 30 days from purchase to start watching the movie. Once you start the movie you have 24/48 hours to finish watching it.

    Yes Kappy, that's correct. If youre using the U.S. itunes Store, rentals expire after 24 hours from the time you started watching it; otherwise, some countries' rentals have a 48-hour expiration period.

     

    Just a tip: let it finish downloading first before watching so it won't expire prematurely.
