Using Itunes gift card overseas

If I purchase an Australian iTunes card and send it to England can it be used to make purchases from the Australian iTunes store from an iphone registered in Australia with an Australian iTunes account, but operating on a UK phone carrier network and UK internet connection? Thanks

You must be physically located inside the borders of Australia to use the Australian itunes store:


"The iTunes Service is available to you only in Australia, its territories, and possessions. You agree not to use or attempt to use the iTunes Service from outside these locations. Apple may use technologies to verify your compliance."

Yes sorry I just found you answered the same on a similar question. I can understand not using a card from one country to make purchases from another country,, but it seems rough that if you are overseas you can't use your own "home" domestic account using a card bought from your own country. Not very smart from Apple as ther must be many people who get overseas then decide they want to download apps for various things.....
