Can you use 2, 2gigs in to slots and 2, 4 gigs in the other 2 slots on the I mac

Can you use 2, 2gigs in to slots and 2, 4 gigs in the other 2 slots on the I mac to equal 12 gigs or do you have to use either 2 gis in all the slots or four gis in all the slots?

iMac, Mac OS X (10.6.8)

Depends on iMac, but as long as they're matched Pairs you'll be OK! 🙂
