can't burn DVD result code =-108

I am truing to burn a 4.37GB VIDEO_TS file. Toast 7, toast 8 and popcorn all fail with warning the can't burn because not enough memory result code =-108. The activity monitor says that I have1.24GB of unused memory. I have never seen this problem before. Any thoughts??

Apparently both Toast and Popcorn consider the capacity of a blank DVD as memory. I was able to burn in Popcorn by selection to burn the main feature of the VIDEO_TS only. I don't know how much you save by not copying the fancy stuff but it was enough. Strange when you try to burn a file to a CD it says the file is so much too big to fit the CD. I guess a CD isn't memory and a DVD is.
