Automatically Mount External Drives Based on Network Connection

Is there any way to automatically mount a shared external drive upon login, but only attempt to do so when I am connected to my home network?

I know how to have shared external drives attempt to mount automatically. But when I travel and I am away from my shared volumes, I want to avoid having my laptop attempt to mount drives that I know are not there, and then subsequently clicking through prompts telling me that they are not there.

Any suggestions?
