How do you delete a podcast that you played on iPhone 4

Thanks so much, I feel like an idiot for not thinking about that.

I find this app to be buggy and very laggy - the left swipe seemed to only be working interrmitently for me, then I noticed that sometimes only after killing and restarting the app, would the podcasts I previously deleted be removed from the queue. I hope this app gets some refinement as I really like it overall

me too, thank you, I tried all sorts, dragging it off the iphone in itunes, pressing delete, all with no success. I feel equally stupid. Its not really intuitive at all for me... yet I know its the standard approach, I just forget..it feels an odd thing to do. Thanks

I had this problem on my 4S and found out how to delete a podcast.

Let me explain ...

1. On the iPhone open the Podcast app and go to your Library.

2. Press the "Podcasts" icon on the bottom left.

3. Hold your finger on the screen and drag down, revealing a "search" window and grid or list view.

4. Notice the "Edit" button on the left of the newly seen bar.

5. Press it.

6. Press the X in the circle and the podcast will be removed.

7. Press done.

Hope it works. Ha my first solution to anything on this site, what a journey I have been on!!!

By trial and error the swipe method (finally) works great:

Start right or left and swipe across the ENTIRE width of the row, from black edge to black edge.
