I have been trying to update several programs (individually and Update All) I put my password in, it tells me I need to log in, it takes me tunes My Account in iTunes and then tells me my security code is wrong, which it is not. I am usin a Mastercard Giftcard that I have registered online and already used to make purchases with. It boggles me as to why all the sudden now it wont let me.
Mastercard/Visa/AMEX Gift cards are no longer allowed to be used in the store. I have tried all the different kinds sold at the stores and the iTunes store will not execot any of them giving the unable to verify address error. These include the gift cards that you buy in say amounts of $25/$50/$100 amounts. It doesn't matter what amount, they are no longer accepted. They used to work and then suddenly around October they seemed to no longer work.
You can use prepaid Mastercard/Visa/Amex refillable cards because these require that you register an account and have an address on file so it i treated as a real credit card as far as iTunes is concerned.
I have looked for information about this, but have been unable to find any. Judging by the number of posts relating to prepaid credit cards, I suspect that they are not accepted as a method of payment by the iTunes Store.
Can I use a Mastercard Gift card for my account?
