Q: sprint unlocked my iphone 4s!!

sprint unlocked my iphone 4s the phone will remain unlock ?? is sprint have power to lock it again ?

 

if i sell it overseas the phone will remain unlock for international use and local sim there ?

iPhone 4S, iOS 5.1.1

    i did they gave me 10 answers this why i hate sprint...but apple should know better i think b.c they explanined to me that they send a relaease to apple to unlock the phone...and some say aww the phone have to be active on sprint account to remain unlock..

     

     

    but i beleive the phone will not lock again by it self unless do a restore again or update the baseband make sense ??

    Unlocking is not up to Apple It's up to the carrier the phone is locked to.

     

    If you want a definitive answer, Sprint are the only ones who can give it to you.

    The ONLY way to do so is to contact Sprint. You can look up their contact information using Google...

    So,  KiltedTim, other than calling Sprint, who give you the maddening musical transfer of calls, is there a way around this? I feel that the iphone 4s, which is out of contract now, is my property. I know well that after today's farce with customer service they will not help me, nor any of the other folks out there who honoured their contracts. I respectfully submit that nowhere in my previous contract did it stipulate that Sprint would unlock my phone. Silly me. I believed the sales person. And I believed the customer service reps who also assured me that it would be done. Now that I am fully apprised of my own naiveté,  what recourse is there to unlock this phone - since clearly Sprint will not do it. I have seen your name on several posts. You have actively responded that only Sprint can unlock these phones. I am supposing that your authoritative delivery suggests a deeper understanding than the brevity of your responses suggest. In other words, we need help. Sprint is not offering any. Are you?

    You highjacked a thread to complain to someone who has no authority to unlock a phone.

     

    Apple makes the product and Sprint requires it be locked.  Only Sprint can help you.

    What "help" do you expect anyone here to be able to give you. It's been stated quite clearly. ONLY Sprint can authorize unlocking the phone. It can ONLY be unlocked for use on non US carriers. There is absolutely nothing you or anyone here can do to change that.

     

    If you're unhappy, call your congressman. There is no law that requres Sprint to unlock it at all.

    I was angry with Sprint, and the lack of candour from the experts on this site.

     

    Let me say then that the following are this site's experts advice for how to deal with basic property rights -:...... "Only Sprint can Help", "Call Sprint", "Ask Sprint", "Call Your Congressman." Great advice. Thanks. I am bowled over by your amazing breakthroughs.

    Obviously, what you're looking for is advice on how to illegally hack your phone. Yes, it is illegal to unlock your phone without the permission of the carrier it's locked to.

     

    You're not going to get that here.
