i cannot download apps from my iphone app store

hi sir/madam

i have a problem downloading app in my iphone ,when i open app and triying to download but i m not able,when i click on instal its just getting struck and there is no further moments. so i would like u to help me out and solve the problem.

i phone-OTHER, iOS 3.1.3, its iphone 1st generation
