Apple Event: May 7th at 7 am PT
I Photo just spins.
Will not download any new pictures.
Tried holding down the control and and option while starting iphoto.
It gives me a choice of only 1 option. There was no dialog to rebuild.
No other info has helped.
How can I fix this problem?

You could try to see if you can get it to open by creating a new iPhoto library. If that works then the issue would likely rest with the iPhoto library you currently have selected.
To create a new iPhoto library you hold down the Option key when you double click on iPhoto in Finder. There wil be an option in there to create new. For confusion purposes I would put it on the desktop as well. See if that works.
You must have not been holding down both the Option and Command keys before your launched iPhoto. If you had you would have seen this window:
So try again and make sure those two keys are held down before and during the launch of iPhoto.
