airport express is not being detected by airport utility 5.6

i updated my airport utility and then I could only control one airport express the other had to be controlled through 5.6 so i downloaded it and installed. I idiotically pushed the reset button on this airport express (thinking it might work if I started over) now it doesn't show up so that I can set it up again. I even hardwired it to my laptop via an ethernet cable. Why is this happening and what can i do to fix it? it has a flashing amber light.

For the AirPort Express Base Station (AX) that you are unable to access, I would recommend that you perform a "factory default" reset on it. This type of reset will bring it back to its "out-of-the-box" configuration which is to broadcast an unsecured wireless network with a Network Name of something like: Apple Network NNNNNN

After it restarts, make sure that you first connect to its wireless network BEFORE trying to access it with the AirPort Utility.
