What can I do about the constant buffering during videos?

Suddenly all of my videos are buffering or freezing. My iTunes purchased and rental movies included. What can I do to resolve this. I need this action for work. This is terrible! Thanks for any advice. I will try anything at this point.

Yes...exactly. In my original post I used the word, "suddenly". As if to imply that it had been working correctly prior to my "sudden" buffering/freezing issues. I'm not a techie, but I am smarter than your average bear.

Please tell me what I need to know. I have the highest speed my Internet service provider offers. I have for as long as this iPad has been in my possession. It was perfect and then one day it stopped being perfect. I cannot watch any video for longer than 20 seconds.

MY KINGDOM FOR HELPFUL ADVICE!

Please?

Diavonex is not an Apple employee - none of us that post here are employed by Apple so we can't "just fix" this issue for you - or for anybody else that is having this problem. Diavonex offered a suggestion - that's all.

Have you tried any of the basic stuff, resetting the iPad, closing all apps in the task bar and restarting, clearing Safari if you are having the problem viewing video content on the web ....?

I have a very fast Internet connection speed and this happens to me once in a while, it even happens on my new MacBook. It certainly should not happen all of the time, but it does happen. I know that the further I am away from my WiFi router, the worse the issue can be. If I try to stream a video from HBO GO for example and I am sitting out on my back deck, the video may begin to buffer on me.

So why don't you just offer the help to Gia and Brian, instead of posting that it is a widespread problem? What have you done to try to fix the issue?

@Gia and Brian.....

I wish that I had a better answer for you, but I don't. Have you tried rebooting your router and/or cable modem? Every once in a while that simple little fix can work wonders.

I have to ask the same question. Seiously, why do video streams continuously buffer?

I just bought a brand new 27" IMAC 3.4ghz Intel Core i7 and loaded the imac with 32 GB 1600 Mhz DDR3 memory. I have a high end wideband internet connection tested on speedtest with speeds consistently at 51mbps download and 5.1mbps upload and Ping measured at 8ms. Connected via ethernet as the sole user or connecting wirelessly has no impact.

It can't have anything to do with hardware or internet connection in my case and since the system is brand new, what else is left except OSX 10.8.3?

One change to note with the system, when I first set-up the IMAC the speeds were unbelievable with no buffering. that lasted less than 3 weeks gradually deteriorating to the same problem that plagued my prior MAC.

I would really like someone from Apple to address this question and let us all know what the problem is and how to stop the buffering entirely.
