Error with 3.3.1 installing on osx 10.7.4

I have just purchased a new Macbook Pro. I had Aperture 3.1.2 (downloaded from the App store) installed on my old Macbook running osx 10.6.8 working fine. I moved Aperture over to the new Mac - running osx 10.7.4 - and ran update in the App store to 3.3.1.

Now when I try to open Aperture on the new machine I get an error saying that this version of Aperture won't run with the OXS - which I do not understand, details below. Can anyone help?

Did you install Final Cut lately? This is a very typical error message after Final Cut installation:

The crash report shows that a framework is missing in your library. You need to restore the PluginManager.framework in your System Library: /Library/Frameworks/PluginManager.framework/Versions/B/PluginManager

The safest way is simply to reinstall the Operating System;

use the Lion Combo update from the Support page (OS X Lion Update 10.7.4 (Client Combo)).

Or restore the framework from your Time Machine Backup, if you know how to navigate to the folder /Library/Frameworks/PluginManager.framework/Versions/B/PluginManager in your TimeMAchine Backup.

@painting. You can't use the general all-purpose 10.7.4 OS installer on your machine as I suspect your variant of 10.7.4 is actually newer than the one the updater wants to install. You just need the PIM framework so if you can manually copy it from another Mac user's setup then that's all you need to solve the problem. Otherwise you need to do a recovery reinstall of the OS again. I'd make sure to have a copy of the PIM framework stashed away in case you install FCE again.
