What are tags?
TAGS: When I search Google so much programmer language returns that I gave up. What are "tags" and are they unique to particular sites?

Tags are not unique to any particular site.
Tags are information embedded in a song file that provides information about the song, such as Title, Artist, Album, and Year.
When you add a song to your iTunes library, iTunes reads the tags of the file, and displays the information in the appropriate columns of iTunes.
