Q: Trying to Upgrade from OS X 10.5

I have a power mac desktop that is running OS X 10.5  How can I upgrade to the new software coming out in July? I want to have iMovie on  my computer -which seems to only be available with the new software. However when I go to the Apple and select "Software Update'" I only get an iTunes update -which starts to download but then stops with an error message that says something like, "digital signature  incorrect, may have been tampered with etc..."  What do I do?
